Catching Elephant is a theme by Andy Taylor
Marik sighed and hauled his back from the couch. He rested his arms on his knees with troubled features on his face, “I’m..sorry..” he didn’t know what else he could say. She was a complete stranger and he didn’t want to sound like a creep, offering help to a complete stranger.
Malik raised a brow, then her features turned slightly harsh. If there was one thing her yami had taught her it was thst people weren’t sorry for things that didn’t happen to them. “What the fuck do you have to be sorry for? You didnt do it and theres really nothing you can do. So why say your sorry? You can’t fix my problem.”

Marik shook his head disapprovingly, “You should be able to leave… just.. find some place to hide your money in it and you’ll save up good money and move out..” He suggested lamely, his mind wasn’t working properly lately
Malik smiled politely and shook her head, “It’s not that simple. He controls literally every aspect of my life. The only reason I’m out right now is because he knows he can’t beat me in the state he’s in.”
Marik raised a brow, “The state he’s in?” He asked then shook his head, “Still think you should do something about it. You can’t just let hi—” he stopped mid-sentence as her words rang into his ears again, “Beat you up?” He asked with wide eyes. “What kind of a man beats a lady!?”
She blinked at him, slightly shocked by his sudden loudness, “It’s not like I can stop him… He’s bigger and stronger then I am.” She sighed and ran a hand through her hair, “Apparently him…”
“Oh come now I don;t control everything about your life, I don;t decide when your period comes or when you need to use the bathroom, or when you get thirsty or hungry”
“Think about the things you do control though. When I leave, where I go, how much of my money that I earned I get to keep. Who I can keep in contact with, what I cook for dinner even if I don’t like it.” She crossed her arms. “See my point.”

“good so far…”
“And what are you doing woman?”
“Nothing that involves you!”
“Well now knowing you, busting out like that you are doing something on which I will make my myself become involved, now tell me what your up to”
“I’m not up to anything and even if I was it doesn’t involve you.”
“For the love of Satan woman are you on your fucking period twenty four seven?”
“No. I’m just honestly sick and tired of you controlling every aspect of my life.”
“good so far…”

Marik opened the second can but didn’t really drink, he shrugged, “What do you do at your home?” He asked. “The normal stuff, TV, compter and internet, sleep, eat, and even read.”
Malik shook her head, “I’m not allowed on the internet. Fuck I’m lucky I can have a phone….” She shook her head, “Most of the time it’s school then go home and do whatever the dick tells me to do…. You much have a peaceful life. Just living here alone.”
Marik frowned slightly, “No one is allowed to boss anyone around.. Go to school? You’re young.” He commented but focused on the subject, “Who’s not allowing you to surf the internet anyway?” He asked, curios.
“You don’t know my yami. He keeps the only working computer in his room and I refuse to go in there… As for school, I’m actually in collage right now. Hopefully I can get a good enough job to get away from him.” She shook her head and leaned back against the chair, iddely messing with the tab on her soda, “Same person who takes my money so I can’t leave, that moniters everything I do.”
“good so far…”
“And what are you doing woman?”
“Nothing that involves you!”
